Schools and PTAs, take note: it’s the most wonderful time of the year again! And that means it’s time to book your Holiday Gift Shop with Fun Services Midwest! If you’re in the market for a fun holiday experience for students that teaches them about the giving spirit hands-on, you’ve come to the right place.
What is the Holiday Gift Shop?
Fun Services Midwest’s Holiday Gift Shop (also known as “Santa’s Secret Shop”) is a program that gives students a chance to shop for their loved ones—from mom and dad to grandparents to their beloved pet—choosing from a selection of curated gifts recipients will actually love.
And the best part? The Holiday Gift Shop comes to your school, allowing students to do their holiday shopping in the safety and security of their classroom! That’s one less trip to the big box store or the mall for parents, and one more win for the kiddos.
How It Works
Planning a Holiday Gift Shop for your next school event is easy. Just follow these simple steps to get your shop up and running:
1. Customize Your Experience
You can choose from a few different options when you book your holiday shopping experience, allowing schools to customize everything from the shop’s name to the inventory. Some of the choices you need to make include:
- The Name: Holiday Gift Shop or Santa’s Secret Shop
- The Date: What week you want the Holiday Gift Shop to be open at your school
- English or Bilingual parent letters
- Virtual checkout or physical cash register
- And traditional or no-count inventory options
2. Choose Your Markups: Service or Fundraiser?
One fun feature of the Holiday Gift Shop is that you can make the shop either a fundraiser for your school or just a gift shopping service for students by customizing your price markup! You can market the experience as a fundraiser with up to a 20% markup, or select no markup at all and provide the gifts at more affordable prices. Either way, it’s a win-win for the holiday season!
3. Get Your Startup Kit and Inventory
Your startup kit includes everything you need to promote and prepare for your Holiday Gift Shop! This includes a Step by Step promotional guide, parent letters, vinyl banners, money envelopes, posters, and more. You can also add additional banners and our inflatable Sir Fun Bear to really amp up the excitement!
When the launch day arrives, our Fun Services team will hand-deliver the merchandise to the classroom of your choosing, along with the following must-have supplies:
- Tablecloths
- Door panels
- Gift labels
- “Thank You” shopping bags
- And our self-sealing Mylar “to/from” gift bags to keep the surprise alive for gift recipients on Christmas morning!
4. Reorder As Needed
Sometimes a specific gift or two are more popular than expected. If you run out of Kansas City Chiefs footballs or “mom” necklaces, just submit an online re-order form and we’ll replenish your supplies the very next day!
5. Free Pick-up
When it’s time to close up shop, we’ll come by and collect all of the unpurchased merchandise and supplies at no cost to you!
