School’s almost out for the summer, but there’s plenty of fun to be had! Elementary schools, middle schools, and even high schools should take this opportunity to celebrate their students’ hard work and build community as we head into summer.
Here are some of our favorite end-of-year events for schools to celebrate and set the tone for a major comeback in Fall 2026.
End-of-Year Events for Preschool and Kindergarten
Finishing the year is an exciting time, especially for those entering elementary school next year! Here are a few ideas to celebrate:
“Graduation” Ceremony
Parents and grandparents will love this opportunity to celebrate their little one moving up from kindergarten to first grade! Is there anything sweeter than five-year-olds in cap and gown regalia? It’s a special moment to commemorate! To make this graduation ceremony fun for the kids too, set up our new Magic FOTO Mirror, where children can reimagine themselves as whatever they want to be when they grow up! And after the fun, families can email, text, or print their keepsake photo to cherish.
Bounce House Bash
There’s no better way to say “let’s bounce” to the school year than a bounce house bash! Preschoolers and kindergarteners love rattling their brains around with a little gravity-defying cardio! A moonwalk, combo, or crawl through is sure to make every young student’s end-of-year event unforgettable! Here are a few of our favorite inflatables that are sure to have preschoolers squealing with delight:
- Lego Crawl Through for brave little builders
- Wild Zoo Crawl Through for animal-lovers
- Carousel Combo for a carnival theme
- Choo Choo Combo for future conductors
- Paw Patrol Moonwalk, because no pup is too small!
End-of-Year Events for Elementary School
Elementary school is a time when children are really starting to discover themselves and what they love. They’re full of energy and ready to let loose for a few months of summer fun, but before they go, it’s time to celebrate with their classmates! Here are some ideas for an elementary school send-off to summer:
Fun Run
Ready, set, go! What better way to welcome summer than with a one-mile race? Invite parents to run alongside younger students. Be sure to have prize ribbons for the victors, embracing their competitive spirit and encouraging students to do their best! At the finish line, some nice, cold shaved ice is exactly what everyone needs to cool off and rehydrate.
Field Day
Rather than zeroing in on a single activity like a fun run, Field Days give students a chance to be active in a variety of different ways. Those who just want to move can race to the finish line on an obstacle course, while others can try their hand at favorite sports with a twist! Check out these creative field day activities that take sports and exercise up a notch:
- Zorb Ball Bowling (think bubble soccer, but bowling!)
- Human Spheres or Bungee Runs for a new take on a two-person race
- Human Foosball, because we’re a little obsessed with turning people into game pieces
- Rock Wall for aspiring climbers
Carnival
Transform your field into a school carnival or day at the fair, complete with tickets and prizes! Carnival games like Fish in a Bowl or Bumper 2 Bumper are a hit for all ages, so elementary school students can invite their families. At Fun Services, we’ve got everything you need for an unforgettable end-of-year carnival:
- Caricature art with Deb McQueen and the Fine Tooners
- Non-toxic, hypo-allergenic face painting
- Obstacle courses like our X Factor Obstacle
- And, of course, what says “start of summer carnival” more than a cotton candy machine?
End-of-Year Events for Middle and High School
Teenagers will be the first to tell you that they’re not too old for some fun! End-of-year events for middle school and high school are always well-attended, especially when they’re packed with activities teens will enjoy. Here are a few ideas:
5K Race
A 5K is a great opportunity to encourage physical fitness amongst your students, and you can incentivize participation with prizes or an after-party that only participants can attend. Make it a walk, run, or ride event so students of all ability levels can participate. Add a few competitive games at the finish line for even more fun! Inflatable axe throwing, inflatable putt putt golf, or an inflatable Shooting Stars basketball game are all fun ways to engage competitive middle or high school students.
Casino Night
Teenagers are eager to grow up, and love any opportunity to feel like real adults. Casino nights are classy, fun, and feel like you’ve inserted yourself right on the set of a James Bond movie! Need the supplies to make your casino night authentic? Check out our casino games, and don’t forget to book your casino dealers!
Featured Party Rental: Football Bowling!
A must for any and every school event, our new go-to rental recommendation is Football Bowling! Combining classic bowling pins with football throws, two teams go head-to-head trying to be the first to knock down the other team’s pins. This fun and approachable team game checks all the boxes:
- It’s easy to learn
- It’s loads of fun
- It doesn’t take up a ton of space
- It’s visually exciting
- And it’s team-oriented, so everyone can participate!
This game is especially fun for nighttime events like after-prom and grad night celebrations, thanks to the color-changing LED lights!
