Unique Ideas for Summer Party Games

As crazy as March 2020 through May 2021 seemed, June 2021 has a slightly different feel, does it not? There is a lot to account for that reality: mask mandates are easing, summer is starting, school is out, restaurants and sporting events are opening up. And in general, our country is moving back to a new semblance of normalcy. Of course, many things post-2020 will look different for a while, and it’s still important to practice safe measures such as social distancing when possible and washing your hands etc. But for the most part, Fun Services Midwest is looking forward to a wild n’ crazy summer. How about you?! Consider this blog post on summer party games your permission slip to have a blast this summer with friends and family.

We can’t explain how ready we are to open our stache of products and inflatables for events and reunions. After a year that seemed so stagnant, it’s time to move and play! What does that look like for you this summer? Are you traveling? Visiting local parks and sights that were maybe shut down for an extended period of time? Whatever your plans look like in the next few months, we hope you engage some creative juices and make this a summer to remember.

There is no better place to spark some creativity than with the words below. As the title states, unique ideas for summer party games is practically why Fun Services Midwest exists. Our last couple posts on graduation parties (which are still happening!) and team building activities (which should happen year-round!) were focused on some pretty specific events. But let’s keep things broad—the following ideas are meant for anywhere and anytime. Have fun with it, and remember . . . we pretty much waited a year for activities just like these.

Summer Party Games in the Yard

We want to highlight where the heart is: your home! Allow us to dissect a few summer party games that will set the stage for any local gathering. These games could be just for your family (and maybe sibling rivalries?) or a great option if you want to invite friends over to partake. In addition, we’ve split up three offerings by age—elementary, high school, and adult—to meet your specific summer party game needs.

Backyard Blitz. Over the last three school semesters, think about what elementary school students across the country have had to go through? Can you imagine being pulled from school, transitioned to online classes, and expected to pay attention every day with all of life’s other distractions? It’s a sad reality these kids just pushed through, but now they deserve a total release! Nothing says release better than our Backyard Blitz relay. All you really need is two people, but more are definitely welcomed. It’s a fast-paced inflatable that will create memories for a lifetime. Also, we’re recommending a BONUS item in our Snowie Shaved Ice Machine. That’s right, nothing says summer party games like a cold cup of shaved ice (with proper toppings of course) to wash down the fun.

Bubble Soccer. 2020 might be the year of a global pandemic, but it’s also the year TikTok took off as a social media platform. High school students everywhere found community near and far through creativity, music and dance. Therefore, we recommend Bubble Soccer (one of our more popular summer party games) for two reasons: 1) One of our goals is to get kids away from screens for a little while—to enjoy time with friends and family in real life. But 2) if they do whip out their phones, it will be worth it to film summer energy made manifest in these ridiculous plastic balls. Get a group of friends together in this set of inflatables, toss in a soccer ball and let the memories commence.

Casino Royale. No, we’re not talking about a group movie showing of James Bond—though that doesn’t sound like a terrible idea. Instead, we’re talking about our wide selection of casino-style summer party games. We have plenty of options!

Although more cities are opening up across the country, it’s a stretch to say millions of people are flocking to Las Vegas like years past. Instead, get your casino fix at Fun Services Midwest. Turn your home into the Mirage for an evening and your friends will thank you for it in the years ahead.

Party in the Park

The summer party games listed above are just a few of the options on our site. We encourage you to check out our whole selection pertaining to elementary students, high school teenagers, and adults this summer. You really can’t go wrong, but if you have any questions please contact us ASAP! We’d love to hear from you and answer any questions possible.

And highlighting games for your “backyard” is really just one location to consider. Most of our rentals can easily be moved to an outdoor park or field to host your larger gathering as well.

Again, it’s not just elementary students who went through the ringer this past year. EVERYONE, in some form or fashion, endured the unthinkable—taking social precautions along the way. In the next couple months, we give you full creative license to step inside inflatable balls, hop in an obstacle course or put on your best Jay Gatsby impression. Life is too short to stay inside. It’s time for summer party games, and the best darn summer of your life.
