Santa Claus is coming to town — but who says he has to wait until Christmas? Our Santa and Mrs. Claus at Fun Services Midwest are available any time, not just in December, so you can enjoy their jolly company before they get so busy that booking becomes difficult!
Need creative inspiration to incorporate Santa into your November festivities? Here are seven ideas for how Santa can make an appearance this fall:
1. Checking It Twice at School Festivals
Having Santa visit your school can get tricky in December — between Thanksgiving and holiday breaks, time is limited! If your school is holding a school carnival or festival in October or November, you can book Santa for a photo op and spark the holiday spirit early in the hearts of your students! (Bonus points: There’s still plenty of time for parents to use the photos in holiday cards!)
No festivals coming up? Invite Santa to visit classrooms during the school day as he “checks his list” to make sure the children are all being good and doing their best to get on the Nice List. Your school will be abuzz for days afterward about how Santa took the time to visit and say hello to each of them!
2. Invite Santa to the Holiday Gift Shop
Is your school participating in the Fun Services Holiday Gift Shop? This unique gift shop is a creative way for schools to help students do their Christmas shopping for family and friends from a curated selection of gifts people will actually want to receive! (Forget the macaroni necklaces of years past!) Parents set the budget for their children and then students shop from the safety of their school, making it possible for them to surprise their parents and loved ones on Christmas morning!
For schools with a Holiday Gift Shop day scheduled, make this holiday shopping experience even more thrilling for your students with a special appearance from Santa! As an expert in Christmas presents, there’s no one better to help your students pick out the perfect gifts for their loved ones — and maybe spend a little time chatting with Santa about what they want for Christmas this year too!
3. Letter-writing with a Surprise Twist!
Writing letters to Santa is a fun way to encourage children to practice their penmanship. But why not up the ante? When children at your event are finished writing their letters, they get to go hand-deliver them to the Jolly Old Elf himself, and maybe get a photo with the big man in red while they’re at it!
4. A Moment with Mrs. Claus
Santa can’t be everywhere all at once, of course! So when he’s busy at the workshop prepping for the December rush, he sometimes enlists Mrs. Claus to lend a hand. November is a great time to invite Mrs. Claus to your festivals and events, followed up in December by Santa making the rounds!
5. Festive Fundraisers
Fall is a popular time for fundraising, whether for schools, nonprofits, or charity organizations. From 5K runs to casino nights, Santa is the ultimate party guest for giving your fundraiser a festive spin and making it fun for the whole family!
Speaking of fundraisers, a Fun Services gift certificate can make a great prize for auctions or other fundraising events. Contact us to learn more!
6. InCORPORATE Santa (Pun Intended)
Planning a corporate get-together in November? The holiday office party isn’t the only time adults can enjoy Santa’s company! Invite Saint Nicholas to any corporate event, especially corporate family picnics or other occasions where children may be in attendance. But Santa is fun for grown-ups too and can help get the whole team in the holiday spirit!
7. Thankful for the Holidays
Thanksgiving is right around the corner, as our last stop before the official Christmas season. Especially if your Thanksgiving celebration is a larger one, bring Santa to the feast! Santa Claus brings his merry-and-bright spirit to any Thanksgiving gathering, such as family reunions, church potlucks, or even Thanksgiving dinners at shelters and retirement communities. If you host a large “Friendsgiving” celebration, Santa can be a lot of fun as a surprise for the kiddos!
