And just like that—another year is behind us! Wow, 2021 was a crazy kind of blur, but at Fun Services Midwest, we wouldn’t have it any other way. After all these years of serving Kansas City with inflatable rentals and other group activities, we still feel like the best is yet to come. After all, this city is one of the best places in America to live and raise a family. It seems like every other day, a new business or fun family opportunity is popping up in our community! For many of those experiences to occur, we know there is another great business behind the idea. In 2021, we got to come alongside so many of these businesses AND families to make their event a hit.
We want to take this opportunity, on our FSM blog, to highlight some of our favorite moments throughout the year. In addition, we want to talk about why we’re excited about 2022 and how you might be prepared to host your best events yet.

Inflatable Rentals in 2021
There are just too many great Kansas City businesses that we had the opportunity to serve in 2021, to list in one paragraph. HOWEVER, a few that particularly come to mind are events that stretched our team in the best kind of ways. Ultimately, we were able to deliver on all of the following—some who have been clients for years and others who were new to us in 2021—and form wonderful relationships for years to come! Wathena Days is a can’t miss fall festival in Doniphan County, Kansas. Haven’t been before? Make it a priority in 2022! (Another “local” event was the Washington County Fair based in Iowa!) We also got to come alongside nonprofits like the Down Syndrome Guild and Kansas City Kansas Community College. In addition, New Life Community Church is a great partner that serves as a model in how we come alongside churches across the metro area.
So what are all these great businesses reserving for their events?! Great question! These businesses order inflatable rentals for their events, yes, but many of them take advantage of our other offerings as well.

The Importance of Community in a Post-2020 World
We’ve written on the blog about how the world has (obviously) changed a lot in the last couple years. But want to know what hasn’t changed? Humans need to celebrate and gather with one another.
In 2021, we experienced that reality in full. Families and businesses had no problem ordering inflatable rentals for their gatherings because of the centerpiece they served at those events. As far as cleanliness and safety goes, our partners knew we were taking every precaution—cleaning and disinfecting—before they used our items. We will continue to implement these standards in the new year, and adapt to whatever the world throws at us! As for now, we have some exciting announcements on the horizon—after attending an end-of-year events conference, we have purchased new inflatable rentals and mechanical attractions. We cannot wait to roll them out in the weeks/months ahead!
